College Community Development Groups
At Shepparton Christian College we encourage parents, carers and their families to get involved in the life of the College.
Parents
and friends
Our Parents and Friends group play an active part in our college community, organising fundraiser and social events and meeting with the Principal on a monthly basis. P&F welcome all members of the college community.
The Parents and Friends group:
• Encourages friendships and open communications between parents and the college
• Ensures events and fundraisers are inclusive of the whole college
• Promote a sense of belonging
• Are an approachable and reliable source of help for parents
Playgroup
Shepparton Christian College has a vibrant play group that meets every second Wednesday from 9am-10.30am. The main purpose of the play group is to give children time to learn through play and making new friends. The program consists of play time, craft, story reading and music. Parents are able to connect and socialise whilst looking after their children. The play group is open to all preschool children and their parents or carers. You do not have to be connected to the school to attend. We look forward to welcoming you to our play group.
Prayer meeting
Members of our College community gather for about half an hour every Friday afternoon at 2.45pm in the Encounter Christian Church foyer. We’d love you to join us as we pray for staff, students, families and other important issues.
Volunteering
There are many volunteering opportunities throughout the year for members of our college community. We welcome assistance at sporting events, reading with our junior primary students, being part of our Parents & Friends Committee or helping out at fundraisers and college events such as our College Fete, Mother’s Day stall or Grandparents’ Day. We do ask that you have a current Volunteers’ Working with Children Check.
