Methods of Communication

In relationships, communication is of great importance. So too with the college/parent relationship. The college uses a variety of communication methods to ensure you are informed of all upcoming events and activities, up to date with college and student requirements and aware of your child’s homework expectations and learning progress.

Newsletter

The newsletter is a vital means of communication between the college and the college community. Newsletters are sent out via email every fortnight. They are also available here on our web page.

Activities
 and events

We have many activities and events throughout the year including our Welcome BBQ, fundraisers, College fete, parent/teacher interviews, concerts and parent information nights. We suggest your attendance at these events as it will help your family develop a good, supportive relationship with staff and other families. Information about these events is emailed out to families and is also in our fortnightly newsletter.

Social Media

A great way to keep track of past and present events is to visit and like our Colleg Facebook and Instagram pages. We regularly update and share amazing stories and photographs of the students having fun learning.

Edmodo

Edmodo is a free and secure learning network for teachers, secondary students and parents. Unlike other social networks like Facebook, it is strictly for educational purposes and is enforced by college guidelines. Edmodo provides a safe way for teachers and students to connect, share content, access homework, participate in discussions, manage due dates and receive class information. Parents are also given their own logon so they communicate with teachers and see their child’s homework requirements.
